COVID-19 Reopening Plans

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, will be following industry safety guidelines for reopening performing arts centers. While Bass Hall currently remains closed to the public, we have started our phased reopening plan with the goal of full capacity performances this fall. Additional details will be announced at a later date.

Resident Companies

The Resident Companies of Bass Hall (Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, the Cliburnplan to return to the Hall and present performances during the 2021-2022 season. For more information, please visit each Resident Company’s website.

New Safety Protocols at Bass Hall

Masks are Required

At this time per industry safety guidelines, masks/face coverings will be required in all areas of the venue, including inside the theater during the performance. Masks/face coverings must be worn over both the mouth and nose.

Social Distancing

Social distancing measurements will be implemented throughout the venue, including, but not limited to entrances, exits, restrooms, lobbies and theater seating.

Cleaning Protocols

We have established robust cleaning and sanitizing protocols for all occupied areas before and between performances with CDC recommended cleaning products.

Sanitation Stations

Sanitation stations are located throughout the venue that include hand sanitizer or wipes.

Mobile Tickets

Mobile tickets with staggered entry times will be used to reduce ingress lines.

Digital Programs

Digital programs will be used to reduce distribution of printed materials.

Elevators

Elevator usage will be limited to ADA patron needs only.

Stage Door

Backstage visitors are prohibited, and only working show personnel will be admitted. Artists will not greet or sign autographs at the stage door following performances.

Building Modifications

Installation of touchless faucets, touchless flush valves, and touchless soap dispensers throughout the building. Installation of plexiglass dividers between patrons and box office staff, hospitality staff and security screening staff.

Temporary Suspensions

Booster Seats, cloak room, food and beverage concessions, gift shop sales and valet have all been temporarily suspended. We hope to bring these back in the near future.

Health Screening Measures

We will implement health screening measures for patrons, performers, staff, volunteers and all individuals entering the venue. As you enter the building you will pass through metal detection and temperature screening via touchless scanners. If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

COVID-19 Ticket Information

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, McDavid Studio and the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, has taken enhanced health and safety measures—for patrons, artists, crew, vendors, employees and other guests. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, including Bass Performance Hall, McDavid Studio and the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, and the event for which you are purchasing admission. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. People who show no symptoms may spread COVID-19 if they are infected and therefore any event where people are present may pose heightened risk of contracting COVID-19. If you are considered a high-risk person as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), you may be especially vulnerable to COVID-19. You should evaluate your own risk in determining whether to attend any public event including the event at Bass Performance Hall, McDavid Studio and the Van Cliburn Recital Hall for which you are purchasing admission.

As a condition of admission to this event at Bass Performance Hall, McDavid Studio or the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, you will be required to abide by all current facility rules, posted instructions, and protocols while on premises or risk ejection, including, but not limited to the following, which may be periodically revised in accordance with public health guidance or requirements, or other guidance or requirements:

  • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.*
  • At this time per industry safety guidelines, guests are required to wear a face mask and/or cloth face covering in all areas of the venue, including inside the theater during the performance.**
  • Guests will be required to submit to a non-contact temperature check prior to entry.
  • Guests may be presented with a brief questionnaire prior to entry to confirm that they are not currently experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms and/or have not had a positive COVID-19 test result in the last 14 days and/or have not been recently exposed to the virus which causes COVID-19.
  • Guests must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet between their travel party and others.
  • Guests are reminded to wash their hands frequently with soap and water.
  • For guests who may need an accommodation in order to comply with any facility rules and/or protocols, please contact our guest services team for further information.

Performing Arts Fort Worth may refuse admission or remove from the venue any ticketholder who fails to comply with protocols posted at the entrance. The presenting organization in residence at Bass Performance Hall may refund the purchase price.

Assumption of Risk

We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to make the guest experience as safe as possible for all. Although preventative measures set forth by the facility are intended to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit.

By purchasing tickets to and/or attending this event at Bass Performance Hall, McDavid Studio and/or the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, you acknowledge the risks above. You also acknowledge notice of and agree to follow all facility rules, posted instructions, and protocols. You also agree to notify all guests for whom you are purchasing tickets of the instructions and protocols disclosed here, those that may be made publicly available for the event, and those that may be conveyed prior to your party’s arrival. 

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE VOLUNTARILY ASSUMING ALL RISKS OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AND AGREE TO RELEASE, WAIVE AND DISCHARGE THE FACILITY, ITS PARENT ENTITIES, AND ALL RELATED AND AFFILIATED INDIVIDUALS AND ENTITIES, AND ALL INDIVIDUALS AND ENTITIES INVOLVED IN THE EVENT AT BASS PERFORMANCE HALL, MCDAVID STUDIO AND/OR THE VAN CLIBURN RECITAL HALL WHICH YOU ARE ATTENDING, FROM ALL CLAIMS DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY ARISING FROM YOUR VISIT TO BASS PERFORMANCE HALL, MCDAVID STUDIO AND/OR THE VAN CLIBURN RECITAL HALL.  

*If a COVID-19 related illness prevents you from attending your performance, please reach out to our box office at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled performance and we will work with you on your exchange and refund options. You can reach our patron services team at boxoffice@basshall.com.
