The mission of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Human Resources Assistant

Provides daily administrative support to the Human Resources Representative and assists with recruiting functions, including responding to applicants and scheduling interviews. Assists with new hire orientation, and compiles, files and updates employee records. Responsible for completing Verification of Enrollment (VOE) requests, Texas Workforce Commission responses, and responding to other general HR correspondence and requests for information. Monitors and replaces labor law postings as updates become available. Assists with planning staff meetings and training sessions. Helps assure the overall organization and smooth operation of the Human Resources Department in its mission to attract, hire and retain PAFW employees and assists with maintaining a safe and productive environment for all staff.

Production Technician

This full-time non-exempt position is responsible for providing the technical support necessary to properly satisfy the requirements of all events at Bass Performance Hall and Maddox-Muse Center. Essential functions include: inspecting house systems for OSHA compliance and assisting with requests for lighting, sound, orchestra ceiling, orchestra pit, portable stages, and backstage operations for performances and events. Also serves as a Facility Representative; directs and supervises backstage personnel including union and contract labor as needed. Works with Events and Hospitality Services management to ensure efficient coordination and implementation of production needs. Maintains all technical equipment/assets and equipment records for archival and billing purposes.

Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator assists with coordinating the contracted Metal Detection Officers (MDO) for performances and events in Bass Performance Hall and the Maddox-Muse Center. Position helps ensure that all designated security areas are set up and maintained for events and performances as specified by the department’s written procedures. The Safety Coordinator assists the Director and Assistant Director of Safety & Risk Management with Departmental duties as needed.

Patron Services Representative

Our Patron Services Team, located in Bass Performance Hall’s Box Office, provides excellent assistance and the highest level of customer service for our patrons and the public through in-person, telephone and electronic transactions. A typical day as a Patron Services Representative is busy providing helpful information and answering a variety of customer inquiries, including performance, price and parking options; assisting with selling new and renewal subscriptions and single tickets; fulfilling orders, and generating various sales reports. Must exhibit a service-driven, positive attitude with a focus on customer service. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel, and Tessitura experience is a plus. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

As a Retail Associate you will assist the Gift Shop Purchasing & Design Manager in stocking the display areas in Bass Hall’s Grand Lobby and Gift Shop: a beautiful venue, dedicated to providing excellent customer service and offering a magnificent array of exceptional merchandise.  Other responsibilities include moving merchandise from the stockroom to the Grand Lobby and surrounding areas quickly and efficiently and maintaining the overall appearance of retail displays. Detail attentiveness, knowledge and awareness of color and balance, and excellent interpersonal skills, along with the desire to work well in a team environment are all important aspects.

The Gift Shop is open before and during performances at Bass Performance Hall; the ability to work  nights and weekends is essential.
