The mission of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is:

  • To perform great symphonic music at the highest level of artistic excellence to educate, entertain, and enhance cultural life.

Since its inception in 1912, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra has educated, entertained, and enhanced the cultural framework of the city.  Today, the FWSO performs a broad range of symphonic and pops concerts each year for an­ audience of more than 200,000 adults and children from all walks of life. The Orchestra is recognized nationally for the strength and uniqueness of its education and outreach program, as well as its collaborations with other local fine arts organizations.
