Overview

The Fort Worth Youth Orchestra’s 53rd Season Grand Finale

Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 7:00 PM, the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra will return to Bass Performance Hall for the 53rd season’s Grand Finale performance. The audience will delight in experiencing all four ensembles of the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra perform: Junior String Orchestra, String Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra and the premier ensemble of the FWYO, the Youth Orchestra.

The Youth Orchestra will perform the entire Tchaikovsky Violin concerto with guest soloist Piu Ying Wong. In addition, the FWYO will be celebrating the 100th Birthday Anniversary of the great American conductor, composer, educator, and philanthropist, Leonard Bernstein, by performing two popular orchestral arrangements of his compositions: The Overture to Candide and the West Side Story: Symphonic Dances.
