Teachers’ Institutes are a strategic component of our program. These professional development workshops, led by well-respected clinicians, provide a variety of creative teaching techniques that show teachers how to introduce our programs within the classroom curriculum prior to their students attending performances.

Performing Arts Fort Worth’s collaboration with the Fort Worth Independent School District has led to a national grant for furthering teacher training. As a result of this grant, we hosted Kodály certification courses at Bass Hall over three years at no charge for Fort Worth ISD elementary music teachers beginning in June 2009. This two-week intensive training program reinforced teaching methods and enabled accreditation for elementary music teachers.
