Bayard H. Friedman (1926-1998), a distinguished Fort Worth businessman, community leader and founding board member of Performing Arts Fort Worth, served as the Chairman of the Capital Campaign to build the Nancy Lee & Perry R. Bass Performance Hall.
Each year, Performing Arts Fort Worth honors one exceptional student who has shown outstanding achievement in the performing arts and awards a $1,000 scholarship to this student. We also award a $5,000 honorarium annually to a Fort Worth ISD teacher who has shown an exemplary dedication to his/her students and the performing arts. For more information about the Bayard H. Friedman Awards, please contact Sue Buratto, director of education, at sburatto@basshall.com.
